This feature enables you to enter customers into one or more member groups, which can then be selected to participate in entry restricted activities you run. Member Groups enable you to effectively segment participants in any of your activities.
To update or create Members in your CompetitionLabs space you can upload a CSV file, by going to Members → Members List and click Update from CSV.
- Browse lets you select any CSV file from you computer and upload it to the CompetitionLabs platform. –
- Append group information to existing members – Updates the information of the existing members that are in your list. For example, you have a member called TestMember and it is part of a test group and you want to add another group called test2 to the existing member so the member TestMember is now part of 2 groups – test and test2.
- Replace group information for existing members – Replaces the information of the existing member that are in your list. For example, you have a member called TestMember and it is part of 2 groups called test group and test2 group and you want to replace the member TestMember so that it has only 1 group – test.
- Create new members on missing entries – If selected, uploading a CSV file with a list of members that are not already in your space will create a new member. If not selected, then the row is ignored.

1st column – memberRefId – It is a unique internal identifier for a member.
2nd column – name – A unique name for a Member.
3rd and all the rest columns – group 1, group 2… – Adding a member to a defined group that latter can be used in a search field in searching for members that have been grouped. You can either write each group in their defi8ned group columns or write all the groups in 1 group column comma separated.
